Like usual, the scorching sun beated down on my pale hand. Suddenly, I saw a glimpse of light in the corner of the gloomy cell. Frantically I peered out the barred window : there, lying on the African bush grass, was a shiny key!!! I recognised that it was the key to my cell, the harsh warder clipped it to his belt. It must have fallen off! ” It’s so tempting ” he mumbled but he knew further damage would happen, as he already spent 16 years at Robben Island. Sadly he gripped the sweltering key and slowly dropped it beneath his grasp.
